There are a myriad of reasons to have an interactive projection system installed in your classroom. Studies show that interactive projection systems engage students in learning through interactive lessons and demonstrations. They also accommodate for different learning styles: kinesthetic, auditory, and visual learning.
Requirements:
i. Professional development training is required and will focus on the technical use of the system and on the effective instructional use of the system in the content areas will also be required of all teachers with an IPS. ii. In-service courses and afterschool workshops will be provided. Mandatory training will be provided during the school day for those teachers who do not attend after school or summer offerings. Sustained professional development will occur throughout the year through in-class training by the district technology integration specialists as well as experienced classroom teachers. iii. Teachers will be expected to participate in ongoing collaboration with colleagues, technology integration facilitators, curriculum directors, and building administrators in order to become highly proficient in the use of the IPS. iv. Building and district administrators will provide formal and informal feedback to teachers during classroom visits and observations.
